    Welcome to the 2017 Walled Garden Music Fest.

    The following festival timings will be:
    Friday 14th July Live Music 4.15pm - 11pm
    Saturday 15th July Live Music 2pm - 11pm
    Sunday 16th July Live Music 1pm- 10pm

    The festival will feature mostly original artists, with a small, select addition of tribute music, within a wide spectrum of music genres. From the 1980's to present day, there is something here for all music lovers and festival goers.

    We are pleased to announce that the well-known actor Robert Bathurst will be our Festival Ambassador. He will be with us on Saturday 15th July, so please come and meet him.

  • ABC

    We have great pleasure and privilege in welcoming ABC, and especially Martin Fry, to our perfect setting of the Walled Garden on Saturday evening. The full band will perform their 'Greatest Hits' such as 'Viva Love', 'The Look Of Love', 'All Of My Heart', and 'Poison Arrow'..............now that's something to look forward to !!!

  • Embrace

    Joint Top Billing on Sunday evening, we are proud to welcome Embrace to our festival.
    They have released 6 studio albums, all achieving top 10 positions, and three reaching the coveted No 1 spot. Hit songs such as 'Gravity', 'Nature's Law', 'Ashes', and 'World At Your Feet' are but a few of their well known songs. Embrace will be releasing their new album to coincide with the tour.

  • Jennifer Paige

    We welcome the first American singer to our music festival. Jennifer Paige is well known for hits such as 'Crush' , 'Beautiful', and 'Stranded'. She has just released her latest album, 'Starflower' and an excellent single 'Devil's in the Details'. On a summer tour of Europe, Jennifer's music is a perfect fit for us.

  • Howard Jones

    Howard Jones first Album Human's Lib made No. 1. He will perform his hits from the early 1980's to tracks from his most recent album, Engage'.
    We look forward to hearing songs such as 'What Is Love', 'New Song', 'Like To Get To Know You Well', and 'Things Can Only Get Better' to name a few. Howard will finish our festival on Sunday evening.

  • Thompson Twins - Tom Bailey

    The Thompson Twins headed by Tom Bailey, were a huge presence in the 1980's with songs such as 'Doctor! Doctor!' 'Hold Me Now', and 'You Take Me Up'. We welcome Tom Bailey to our boutique festival to perform so many hits, together with some tracks from his new album.

    In 2016, Thompson Twins' Tom Bailey received the Classic Pop Magazine 'Best Live Show' award

  • Toploader

    4 time BRIT Award nominated band Toploader originate locally from Eastbourne. In 2000 they became a household name with the success of their single 'Dancing in the Moonlight'. Their first two album's both reached the top five, and they are now releasing their fourth album 'Seeing Stars'. Having performed at the very best venues including the huge summer festival's in the UK, we welcome the band to our boutique event at Brightling Park.

  • Beverley Craven

    We are pleased to invite Beverley Craven to our music festival. BRIT Award winner Beverley will sing with her full band, so many great songs such as, 'Promise Me', 'Holding On', and 'Woman To Woman'.

  • Illegal Eagles

    The Illegal Eagles have a huge following in their own right. They totally recreate the incredible music of The Eagles, and will entertain you with songs such as 'Lyin' Eyes', 'Tequila Sunrise', 'Desperado', and of course 'Hotel California'.

  • Ultimate Elton and the Rocket Band

    Ultimate Elton is perfectly named. Paul Bacon who performs as Elton John is the ultimate tribute act to the great musical performer.
    The Rocket Band will be accompanying Ultimate Elton, in what promises to be a brilliant rock musical experience.

  • Talk In Code

    Talk In Code are a young and very talented indie band from Swindon. They were excellent last year - and we have asked them back. They have been busy writing new material, which they will showcase at our festival. You will really enjoy their performance.

  • The King's Parade

    Classified as Indie/Soul genre, they introduce a pop, soul and Detroit blues foundation to their music. Their lead singer Olly Corpe possesses a tremendous voice. Their 'live' sets are excellent and will make a good impression - that's guaranteed.

  • Wildwood Kin

    Wildwood Kin are an acclaimed anglo/americana trio from Exeter in Devon. The music is beautiful and thought provoking. Their voices meld perfectly in effortless and sublime close harmony.
    Wildwood Kin have just been awarded The Bob Harris's Emerging Artist of the Year 2017. A perfect fit for our festival....don't miss them.

  • Wide Eyed Boy

    A young indie pop band from Liverpool, Wide Eyed Boy are soon to release their first EP. Very good live, watch out for their excellent songs 'Wolves', 'Loving You Is So Easy', and 'Sun Again'.

  • Emma McGrath

    A hugely talented singer songwriter. Emma has been selected from the large numbers of bands and artists who approach us to perform at the festival. Arrive early, and enjoy this 17 years old's music. We think she has a huge future ahead.

  • Riva Taylor

    Riva will open the Saturday. Her latest release 'Deeper' showcases her fine voice. Lovely music.

  • Ed Goodale

    Ed Goodale is a singer/songwriter who is rapidly establishing himself on the acoustic/roots scene. He has played extensively at gigs and festivals throughout the UK and Europe, performing a lively set with brother Ollie on percussion. ED and Ollie played for us last year. They were so good - we invited them back.

2017 Walled Garden Music Fest Ambassador

Robert Bathurst

The very popular actor, Robert Bathurst, will be our Festival Ambassador. Currently working on the latest series of 'Cold Feet', Robert has also appeared regularly on TV in series such as 'Downton Abbey', 'Wild at Heart', and 'Toast of London. He is also an accomplished stage performer. Robert will be with us on Saturday, introducing a couple of bands on stage. He will be happy to meet you all.
